Join a Terman Club
Do you have a hobby or interest you'd like to share with other kids? Start a club! Find a teacher advisor or another adult to sponsor your club, and you'll have fun each week during lunch. Many Terman teachers spend one or more lunch periods each week advising clubs.
Clubs are a fun way to meet new people and try new things. At Terman, we have had a variety of clubs including the: Card Club; Chess Club; Drama Club; Dungeon and Dragons Club; Electric Car Club; Entertainment Club; Flash and Computer Kablam Club; Food Club; French Club; Math Club; Pets in Need Club; Rubik's Cube Club; Scrabble Club; Spanish Club; Volleyball Club, and Youth Community Service Club.

Crazy Computer Club & Flash - Advisor: Carol Bly
Students in this club learn about making web pages and creating their own sites. We also are learning more about Flash and creating animations for our web pages
Dungeons and Dragons - Advisor: Martin Vetter

My own simple observations of weeks of non-violent interaction between the boys (there are only boys in the club) would be that they spend the 40 minute lunch time arguing, laughing, sometimes shouting and having fun with just about everything. I can't tell who is winning or losing even as it spills out the door. Some students who are simply in the room to read or quietly have their lunch seem just as mystified as me, so I can only say that the club is a great success.I highly recommend the Club. As the Beatles said, "A splendid time is guaranteed for all".
Food Club - Advisor: Judy Salmon
Food Club meets on Wednesdays or Thursdays during lunchtime in Room F-7. The club members prepare baked items that are sold after school at a weekly bake sale.
When the students are through preparing the delicious, nutritious snack items, they get to sample new recipes Mrs. Salmon is testing out for her classes, or they make a special snack for themselves such as nachos or quesadillas.
The money that is made from the bake sale goes to pay for the snack food the club members get to eat, and for new utensils and equipment for the home ec department.
Rubik's Cube Club - Advisor: Maureen Duffy
The Rubik's Cube Club is a great way to have fun and be social while learning terrific math and logic skills at the same time.
Spanish Club - Advisor: Margarita Mendez
Spanish Club, is a club for students who already speak Spanish or want a challenge that will definitely stretch their Spanish ability. We meet Tuesdays at lunch, we play games in Spanish, games with reading, writing and quick thinking. We also play traditional games like Scrabble en Español. We meet in K-11.
